i did, i knew it was coming. and the day has come.
my laptop screen has gone kaput.
now i must make one of the biggest decisions, perhaps the biggest decision, of my adult life.
update: i ordered the mac (upped the ram to 4GB). also got a itouch to go with it (100% rebate for students going to school this sept).
i'm wrestling with the same decision myself - i have an ibm laptop that i bought about three years ago and that has been pretty solid so far but i don't know how long that will last. and so every so often i find myself itching to buy a new one, just in case . . .
in my case however, it will always be another ibm. it's just an awesome laptop.

Bro. uses Mac and isn't very happy with it, nor are some other people that I know own it..
So not a recommendation, but more like my vote is in for the Tablet! :D
seeing the title, i was expecting a "fallen"-like post here.
@maria - the tablet is very tempting, though i'm leaning towards the mac. if i order today, i can get the mac by the end of the week, with a free itouch no less. so that is also tempting.
@iffatS - i must make a decision. probably will order today.

Im thinking about this too. My gateway just broke so I have to get a new one. But it was like 4lbs (200ARC), so I woudln't even feel it walking around. Now I am spoiled.
hmm... the mac is 5lbs. and the tablet slightly heavier.
