I really want to show 'em
and try and get to know 'em
perhaps I'll write a poem

and while I may show it
both you and I know it
that I am no poet

iffat - the last two lines "know it"/"poet" were what I came up with first (in an actual conversation no less, hah). the rest of it was kinda "constructed" around that. =D

yasmine - I would love to someday do a longer piece that, more than rhyme, has rhythm. especially when it's spoken. inshallah. =) thanks!
