ha “mid-life” is a misnomer then. calling it “mid” presupposes at least an approximate half-way point between the beginning and end. i would describe your perceived condition as “in perpetual crisis.” but then, in an odd way, its very continuity would make it /not/ crisis. btw, you should read some Kafka. i especially recommend The Trial.
