I’ll list the movies here:

Malcolm X

based on the autobiography of Malcolm X, played by Denzel Washington.

Muhammad Ali – The Whole Story

A biography of Muhammad Ali, includes many of his fights, interviews with Ali and his trainers. Goes through his boxing career and through his important fights. Of course it also covers the whole Vietnam fiasco.
This is a two DVD set.

Spider-Man

loosely based on the comic book, Spidey is played by Tobie Maguire. An entertaining movie. Two DVDs, with lots of extras.

Back To The Future

All 3 DVDs, features “The Making of…” episodes and tons of extras.
I loved the movies as a kid, had a huge fascination with time travel. Still do.

DUM-SAATIYA-COMPANY

Yes, all three movies are on one DVD. Quality is pretty good. Company is my all time favourite movie. And it was coupled with Saathiya, which I also liked, so it was hard to resist.
Company by far is the best movie I have seen, no questions asked. Perfect direction, flawless acting, and a good ending.

I might do a detailed review on these movies later on, and maybe even come up with a DVD wishlist… heh…

So we live in these times where technology is really advanced and all that hoopla…

But this guy, he was able to crack all that…
Did he use technology to counter that which already existed? yes, he did, if you call that technology that is,

he used a bicycle, coupled with two scoops of rage, he crossed one of the most heavily guarded borders in the world… from Pakistan to India. Hah…

Apart from this being outrageously hilarious, it also should give us perspective. These two people, are essentially the same people. Indians and Pakistanis, one and the same. Yet they’re willing to shed each other’s blood. A disgrace to mankind…

reloaded…

I saw the movie on the opening day…

the first 30 minutes or so of the movie were horrible…

what came after was better…

the fight scenes were amazing, but at times prolonged…

I was somewhat disappointed right after the movie, confused if you will…

but now, 5 (give or take a few) days later I am starting to comprehend the reasons to why things were done they way they were done…

how can you top the first matrix movie? the answer is you simply can’t… but the matrix cannot be analyzed movie by movie… the true worth of the second movie will only be realized after viewing the third… and I bet we will see the first movie in a different light after the trilogy is complete…

my assesment therefore is that this was a good movie… and the trilogy will be one of the best hollywood has witnessed…

mowing…

my first experience lawn mowing…

‘twas interesting to say the least…
it is tiring… but luckily my lawn mower has this accelerator so it propels itself forward…
but walking up and down the lawn over 50 times isn’t exactly an energizing experience…
but the weather was great… so I can’t complain…

on a more important note, I got my basketball net complete…
this will now make it difficult for me to do programming in the daytime when the weather is good…
how can I not go out and start shooting?
it’s only a few steps away… but I will have to get a new ball, this one is too old… more than 10 years old…
