I’m trying out new designs. Simple ones. The design I had before was from blogger.com, and the code was messy. So I decided to make the design myself. Obviously it won’t be as good. I must admit that I have no sense of design or colour. But atleast I made the comments thing work. HAH. take that…

If you’re wondering why there’s a ƒ(a) if the bottom there instead of my name. I’m using it as a nickname now. ƒ(a) means function ƒ at value ‘a’. ‘a’ being the first letter of my first and last name seems appropriate. I got the idea from my good friend, Zaker, who suggested I use (A)squared. But I was unable to get the 2 superscripted. I was looking at the sybmols and I saw ƒ and said, bingo! And here it is…

Quote of the day:

Ay, sir; to be honest, as this world goes, is to be one man picked out of ten thousand. Hamlet – Shakespeare

My comments on the quote: Change the “ten thousand” to “hundred thousand”. Maybe more. That’s how it is…

I wonder:
There must have been quite a few people with the last name Hitler in the 1930s and 40s. Poor fellas, they probably had to change their family name (which they may have had for centuries) just because some dude Adolf Hitler went on a wild killing spree. Imagine though, if someone was named James Hitler, and James goes for an interview. Hah, can you imagine? “Hi, my name is Mr.Hitler, believe me I’m real good at math.” Yeah right, this dude won’t get hired if this life depended on it.

I also wonder why I wonder things like this.

Quote of the day:

Adnan’s First Law:

What goes up, will stay up, unless it comes down. Adnan Ali (1983-present)

My comments on the quote: That’s a wise person who said that…

Quote of the day:

I don’t make jokes; I just watch the government and report the facts. Will Rogers (1897-1935) – Humourist

My comments on the quote: how true, how true…

I got my final marks… I did well, not extremely good, but well Alhamdulilah..
and they were:… hah, yeah right, like I’m really going to make my marks available for the rest of the world to see…
muahahhahahah

Toronto Star article : Eves promises cash for schools, hospitals

I don’t understand this type of politics. Shouldn’t the elected parties do the things that the citizens want them to do? And not do things of their own whims and fancies?
I don’t get it. When Mike Harris was there we get one type of message, and when Ernie Eves comes, we get a different message. Shouldn’t each individual MPP vote according to the wishes of his/her constituents, and not just follow the party line?
But it seems that Canadian political parties are based solely upon the decisions of the leader and the cabinet. The opinions of the citizens aren’t properly heard.
Mike says less cash for schools and hospitals. Ernie says more cash for schools and hospitals. Where was the public involvement in this? Why weren’t our cries heard when Mike Harris was premier?
Elections are in one year I hear, and Ernie is preparing for that. He’s seasoning the voters, “Vote for me, I have nice hair, and I’ll give more money to schools and hospitals. And after I’m elected for sure, I’ll do whatever the hell I please!!! Muahahhahaha”

Well he didn’t say that, but he might as well have.

Here’s an article I wrote way back, and I posted it on a couple of message boards this January: ARTICLE

Quote of the day:

That old law about “an eye for an eye” leaves everybody blind. Martin Luther King Jr (1929-1968)

My comments on the quote: The “new” law of “turn the other cheek” leaves half the world with no eyes, and makes the second half a powerful oppressor. What are we supposed to do? If someone is going to take my eye away, do I offer my other eye?
We should preach not to the take eyes at all. That way everyone has their eyes, everyone is happy.
“Eye for an eye” applies only when someone takes your eye. So if people stopped plucking others’ eyes out, there would be no problems. But no, we have to “turn cheeks” now.
